The Senior Manager - MineStar Global Implementation leads Caterpillar’s global MineStar implementation and project management organization, ensuring delivery of MineStar technologies to mining customers across all regions. This is a leader‑of‑leaders role with broad global scope—driving execution excellence, customer outcomes, portfolio performance, and the development of strong implementation leadership across the enterprise.
In this role, you will shape how MineStar is delivered worldwide—setting strategy, establishing standards, and enabling regional teams to execute safely, consistently, and profitably on complex, high‑value mining technology programs.
What You Will Do
Provide global leadership for MineStar implementation and project management, overseeing regional implementation managers and their teams across multiple geographies.
Define and execute the global MineStar implementation strategy, ensuring high‑quality, safe, and predictable delivery for customers worldwide.
Own delivery excellence for a global, multimillion‑dollar project portfolio, with accountability for scope, schedule, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Establish and maintain global standards, governance, and best practices for implementation, project management, and customer onboarding.
Partner closely with engineering, autonomous operations, training, and commercial teams to align implementation capacity, technical readiness, and customer commitments.
Lead global resource planning and workforce deployment, building talent pipelines to support both current execution and future growth.
Monitor portfolio health and global KPIs, proactively identifying risks, removing obstacles, and escalating issues that impact delivery performance or financial outcomes.
Provide executive oversight for contract execution, major change orders, and complex customer escalations.
Drive continuous improvement, operational discipline, and knowledge sharing across regional implementation teams.
Lead, coach, and develop regional implementation leaders, with a strong focus on succession planning and leadership capability building.
Represent the MineStar implementation organization in enterprise, cross‑functional, and senior leadership forums, including executive‑level customer engagement.
Leadership Scope & Impact
Global accountability for MineStar implementation delivery across multiple regions and customer sites.
Direct leadership of regional implementation managers and indirect leadership of global field implementation teams.
Significant executive‑level customer exposure, influencing long‑term customer relationships and strategic outcomes.
What skills will you have:
Technical Excellence: Proven success leading leaders and delivering large, complex technology programs in industrial, mining, or other operational-related environments.
Relationship Management: Extensive leadership experience managing complex, global or regional implementation, project management, or operations organizations. Ability to influence and collaborate across functions, regions, and cultures. Proven ability to lead across engineering, autonomous operations, training, and commercial teams.
Service Excellence: Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated experience managing large project portfolios and customer commitments.
Consulting: Ability to define and deploy global standards, processes, and best practices. Continuous improvement mindset with experience leading process optimization and knowledge sharing. Workforce planning and global resource deployment expertise.
Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
Effective Communications: Strong executive presence with the ability to influence at senior leadership and customer executive levels.
Top Candidates will also have:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Business, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
Experience with MineStar or similar large scale industrial / mining technology solutions.
Experience in project management, systems implementation, or large capital programs.
Experience operating in remote, site based, and customer embedded operating models.
Demonstrated ability to scale organizations and standardize execution globally.
Additional information:
This position requires the candidate to work full-time in the Tucson, AZ office.
Domestic relocation assistance is available.
This position will require up to 50% travel.

Summary Pay Range:
$172,630.00 - $258,950.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
