Web Analyst

Job role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and insights-driven Web Analyst with 25 years of experience in eCommerce analytics. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise with GTM, GA4 & Looker along with a strong understanding of user behavior, funnel optimization, and revenue attribution. You will work closely with performance marketing, product, and website teams to track, analyze, and optimize digital user journeys to improve conversion and ROI.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and manage website tracking using GTM, GA4, and JavaScript.
• Configure event tracking for key D2C actions: product views, add-to-cart, checkout steps, purchases, clicks, and form submissions.
• Develop and validate data layer structures using JavaScript for accurate and consistent data capture.
• Configure enhanced eCommerce tracking to monitor revenue, AOV, conversion rate, and funnel performance.
• Debug and troubleshoot tracking issues using browser developer tools and JavaScript inspection.
• Set up custom events, triggers, and variables to measure new features, campaigns, and experiments (A/B testing).
• Monitor website performance metrics and user journeys to identify optimization opportunities and improve conversion rates.
• Ensure tracking accuracy and compliance through proper consent and tag governance.

Qualification

• 25 years of experience in web/digital analytics, preferably in an eCommerce environment.
• Proficiency in Google Analytics 4 (GA4) setup, reporting, and custom events.
• Strong hands-on experience with Looker Studio for dashboarding and report creation.
• Familiarity with Mixpanel or similar analytics tools for cohort and retention analysis.
• Strong understanding of eCommerce metrics (CVR, AOV, LTV, CAC, Bounce Rate, etc.).
• Working knowledge of Google Tag Manager (GTM) and UTM tagging best practices.
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills for ad-hoc analysis.
• Ability to derive actionable insights and communicate them effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
