Vulnerability Management Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a Vulnerability Management Specialist with hands-on experience using Qualys to support scanning, analysis, and remediation tracking across servers, endpoints, and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will assist in vulnerability detection, reporting, and coordination with IT and security teams to ensure timely remediation.

Key Responsibilities

• Run regular vulnerability scans using Qualys VMDR across on-prem and cloud assets.
• Analyze scan results, validate vulnerabilities, and prioritize issues based on severity.
• Track remediation progress and follow up with system owners.
• Assist in configuring scan jobs, schedules, and asset groups within Qualys.
• Generate reports and dashboards for leadership and audit requirements.
• Work with IT teams to confirm patch deployments and validate fixes.
• Maintain documentation, SOPs, and asset inventories.

Qualifications

• 13 years of experience in vulnerability management or security operations.
• Hands-on understanding of Qualys (VMDR, Patch Management, Asset Inventory) .
• Basic knowledge of operating systems, networks, and patching processes.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to SIEM tools or scripting (Python/PowerShell).
• Security certifications like Security+, Qualys Certified Specialist, or similar.
