Role Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced VMware Senior Consultant with 68+ years of relevant hands-on experience in virtualization, data center infrastructure, and enterprise VMware environments.

The ideal candidate will have strong implementation, migration, and troubleshooting expertise and must hold valid VMware certifications. This is a senior-level role requiring deep technical capability and the ability to work independently in complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage VMware infrastructure (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter)
• Perform installation, configuration, and upgrades of VMware environments
• Lead virtualization migration and consolidation projects
• Implement and manage High Availability (HA), DRS, and vMotion
• Manage VMware cluster design and performance optimization
• Handle L3-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions
• Ensure infrastructure security, compliance, and best practices
• Prepare technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and SOPs
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers

Technical Skills Required

• Strong hands-on experience with:
• VMware vSphere
• ESXi
• vCenter Server
• HA, DRS, vMotion
• VMware vSAN (preferred)
• VMware NSX (preferred)
• Experience in virtualization migrations (P2V, V2V)
• Good understanding of storage technologies (SAN/NAS)
• Experience with backup tools (Veeam or similar)
• Knowledge of Windows & Linux server environments
• Understanding of data center architecture and best practices

Certifications (Mandatory)

• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) Mandatory
• VMware Advanced Professional (VCAP) Preferred
• Additional infrastructure certifications are an advantage

Soft Skills & Other Requirements

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently in enterprise environments
• Excellent documentation and communication skills
• Experience working in managed services or consulting environments preferred
• Strong customer-facing experience
