Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter).
• Experience with VMware HA, DRS, vMotion, Storage vMotion.
• Working knowledge of Windows Server and Linux environments.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs).
• Experience with enterprise storage platforms.
• Troubleshooting skills across compute, network, and storage layers.

Tools & Technologies (Preferred)

• VMware vSAN
• VMware NSX (basic to advanced)
• VMware Horizon / VDI
• PowerCLI / PowerShell
• Backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault, NetBackup)
• Monitoring tools (vRealize, SolarWinds, Nagios)

Education & Certifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• VMware Certification preferred:
• VCP-DCV
• VCAP (optional / advanced roles)
• ITIL certification is a plus.

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in high-availability, regulated environments.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.

Nice to Have

• Experience with hybrid cloud (Azure VMware Solution, AWS VMware Cloud).
• Exposure to container platforms (Kubernetes, Tanzu).
• BFSI or large enterprise infrastructure experience.
