Job Description
The Opportunity
Were looking for a creative, hands-on Videographer & Editor who lives and breathes high-quality, social-first video. Someone with a strong visual eye, excellent editing instincts, and a deep understanding of what makes content perform across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Paid Social.
This role is ideal for a modern video creator who can shoot, edit and optimise content end-to-end, move quickly, test ideas, and turn everyday moments into polished, scroll-stopping video. Youll play a key role in shaping how our brand shows up on social creating content that feels current, credible and performance-driven.
Youll work closely with the marketing team to translate strategy and insights into engaging short-form and mid-form video that builds trust, drives action and brings our brand story to life.
The Role
Video Production & Editing
- Plan, shoot and edit social-first video content, with a strong focus on short-form, high-impact storytelling for organic and paid social.
- Own the full production process from lighting, camera and audio setup to editing, colour grading, sound design, captions and motion graphics.
- Produce platform-optimised edits, including multiple cut-downs, hooks, formats and variations tailored to Meta, TikTok and YouTube.
- Ensure all video content aligns with brand guidelines while staying visually modern, engaging and trend aware.
- Deliver performance-ready content designed to stop the scroll and drive engagement, awareness and conversions.
Collaboration
- Work closely with the marketing team and school leadership to align video content with campaign goals, messaging and performance insights.
- Take creative direction while confidently contributing ideas that elevate output and improve results.
Creative Development & Content Management
- Proactively contribute creative ideas, trends and formats to enhance video performance and storytelling.
- Stay up to date with evolving social video styles, editing techniques and platform trends, applying them thoughtfully within a K12 education context.
- Support scripting shot lists and mood boards to ensure shoots are efficient and content is fit for brief.
- Organise and manage footage, edits and project files to support future reuse, testing and iteration.
Equipment & Production Readiness
- Own and maintain video equipment, ensuring all gear is production-ready and suitable for fast-paced shooting environments.
The Person
Qualifications & Experience
- 6+ years experience in videography and video editing, with a strong portfolio of social-first, high-quality video content.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, with working knowledge of Photoshop. Experience with Final Cut Pro is a plus.
- Strong technical understanding of cameras, lighting and audio, with the ability to independently shoot in real-world, dynamic environments.
- Exceptional eye for composition, pacing, colour and detail, with a passion for modern video storytelling.
- Deep understanding of how video performs across platforms (Meta, TikTok, YouTube) and how to adapt content by format, audience and placement.
