Your work profile
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated DevSecOps Engineer to join our team. In this client-facing role, you will be instrumental in guiding our clients through their DevSecOps transformation journey, from initial assessment and strategy to hands-on implementation and continuous improvement. You'll leverage your deep technical expertise and exceptional communication skills to solve complex security and operational challenges, embedding security seamlessly into their software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Key Responsibilities:
Client Engagement & Advisory:
oAct as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their unique business needs, technical environments, and security challenges.
oConduct comprehensive DevSecOps maturity assessments, identifying gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
oDevelop tailored DevSecOps roadmaps and strategies aligned with client objectives.
oLead workshops, presentations, and training sessions for client teams (developers, operations, security).
Technical Implementation & Integration:
oDesign, implement, and optimize secure CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
oIntegrate and configure security tools within the SDLC, including SAST, DAST, SCA, IAST, and secrets management solutions.
oImplement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) security best practices (e.g., using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation with security scanning).
oSecure containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) through image scanning, runtime protection, and secure configurations.
oAdvise on and implement cloud security best practices (AWS, Azure, GCP), including IAM, network security, and native security services.
Problem Solving & Maturation:
oTroubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to DevSecOps tooling, processes, and integrations within client environments.
oDrive the automation of security controls, vulnerability management, and compliance reporting.
oHelp clients foster a security-aware culture, promoting "security as code" and shared responsibility.
oStay abreast of emerging DevSecOps trends, tools, and security threats, bringing innovative solutions to clients.
oDevelop and maintain high-quality documentation for client engagements, including architectural diagrams, implementation guides, and best practice recommendations.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience:4-8 years of hands-on experience in DevSecOps, DevOps, or Security Engineering roles, with a significant portion in a client-facing or consulting capacity.
Communication:Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences (technical and non-technical stakeholders, C-level executives).
Problem-Solving:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to diagnose issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions in complex client environments.
Technical Expertise:
oProficiency with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
oHands-on experience with security scanning tools (SAST, DAST, SCA, e.g., SonarQube, Checkmarx, OWASP ZAP, Snyk, Veracode).
oStrong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
oExperience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes), including their security aspects.
oKnowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their security services.
oProficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
oSolid understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and Git workflows.
oKnowledge of common security vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10) and mitigation techniques.
Client Focus:Ability to build strong relationships with clients, manage expectations, and drive successful outcomes.
Adaptability:Comfortable working in diverse client environments with varying levels of DevSecOps maturity.
Desired Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves):
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, OSCP, AWS/Azure/GCP Security Specialty, CKA/CKS).
Experience with threat modeling and security architecture reviews.
Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., PCI-DSS, HIPAA, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
Experience with security monitoring, incident response, and SIEM solutions.
Contributions to open-source DevSecOps projects.
