Textile CAD Designer

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Textile CAD Designer to join our growing fashion startup. This role is at the heart of our design process, where you will bridge the gap between traditional Indian aesthetics and modern digital textile design. You will be responsible for creating print-ready artworks for a variety of silhouettes, ranging from classic ethnic wear lto modern Contemporary Indian fusion pieces.

• Print Design & Development: Create original, seamless patterns and motifs inspired by traditional Indian techniques and global contemporary trends.
• CAD Illustration: Develop detailed CAD layouts for specific garments, ensuring print placement (borders, necklines, sleeves) is technically accurate for production.
• Color Theory: Create diverse colorways for each design, ensuring palettes are commercially viable and aligned with seasonal trends.
• Technical Prep: Prepare high-resolution, production-ready files for digital and screen printing, including color separation and technical specifications.
• Trend Research: Stay ahead of the curve by researching global fashion forecasts and the evolving landscape of Indian retail (The Loom, Westside, Aza, Pernia etc.).
• Collaboration: Work closely with the sampling and production teams to ensure the final fabric print matches the digital intent.

• Education: Bachelors degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field.
• Technical Proficiency: Expert knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Experience with specialized textile software (e.g., NedGraphics, Lectra) is a plus.
• Design Sensibility: A strong portfolio demonstrating an understanding of Indian motifs, layout scales, and a keen eye for "Modern Ethnic" aesthetics.
• Startup Mindset: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple collections simultaneously, and adapt to evolving design briefs.
• Production Knowledge: Understanding of different fabric bases (Cotton, Silk, Chanderi) and how prints react to various textures.
