Job Description

We are looking for a Territory Sales Manager who will drive on-ground sales by visiting retailers directly and expanding our merchant network. This is a field-intensive role that requires meeting shop owners, demonstrating the product, and closing sales.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in FMCG or Fintech field sales, having worked with companies such as HUL, ITC, Marico, Paytm, PhonePe, Google Pay, BharatPe, or similar organizations.

Initially, this will be an individual contributor role, but the candidate will also be responsible for building and managing a field sales team as the territory scales.


Key Responsibilities

  • Field Sales & Merchant Acquisition
  • Visit retail shops, merchants, and small businesses within the assigned territory
  • Demonstrate the Tohands smart calculator and explain its benefits
  • Convert merchants through direct on-ground sales
  • Build strong relationships with retailers and shop owners
  • Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets


Territory Development

  • Identify high-potential markets and clusters within the territory
  • Plan daily field routes and merchant coverage
  • Track competitor activity and market feedback
  • Ensure strong product visibility within the assigned region


Business Growth

  • Drive merchant adoption and product usage
  • Generate leads and expand the merchant base
  • Work closely with internal teams to resolve merchant issues


Team Building (Future Scope)

  • Hire, train, and manage field sales executives in the territory
  • Build a scalable distribution and sales structure
  • Monitor team performance and ensure sales targets are met


Requirements

  • 26 years of experience in field sales
  • Experience in merchant acquisition / distributor sales
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable with extensive field travel
  • Ability to work independently and drive results
  • Experience managing territories or distributors is a plus


Must have an active network of merchants or retail contacts within the assigned territory.

Proven experience working with sales quotas/targets and consistently achieving or exceeding them in previous roles.


Salary range

Salary Range :- 4 to 7LPA

Location :- Bangalore
