Job Description: Technical Project Manager Automotive Embedded Systems


Role Overview:


We are looking for a highly skilled Technical Project Manager with strong experience in managing complex automotive embedded software projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background in ECUs, AUTOSAR, Model-Based Development, Functional Safety, and Cybersecurity, combined with strong project delivery and customer management capabilities. This role requires working with global OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers, ensuring timely and quality-driven execution of projects.


Key Responsibilities:


Project Delivery & Execution


  • Own end-to-end project delivery including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • Track milestones, risks, dependencies, and deliverables across multiple teams.
  • Ensure adherence to ASPICE, Agile frameworks, customer processes, and internal quality standards.
  • Report project status to leadership and customers with clear metrics and dashboards.


Customer & Stakeholder Management


  • Serve as the primary technical project interface for global OEMs and Tier-1s.
  • Coordinate requirement discussions, change requests, and technical clarifications.
  • Manage expectations, negotiate timelines, and ensure project scope alignment.


Technical Oversight


  • Work closely with technical leads, architects, and engineers to guide implementation.
  • Review designs, estimations, test plans, and release readiness.
  • Support resolution of critical technical issues, defects, and integration challenges.


Team Leadership & Coordination


  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including software, systems, hardware, validation, and quality.
  • Drive daily/weekly project meetings, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Build a culture of ownership, transparency, and collaborative problem solving.


Process & Compliance


  • Ensure projects meet compliance with ASPICE Level 2/3, ISO 26262 (as applicable), and ISO 21434.
  • Maintain documentation, traceability, baselines, and configuration management.
  • Encourage continuous improvement across teams.


Required Qualifications and Skills:


  • Bachelors/Masters degree in Electronics, Computer Science
  • 1012+ years of experience in automotive embedded software development and project management.
  • Strong understanding of AUTOSAR (Classic/Adaptive), MBD, CAN, UDS, Diagnostics, and ECU development.
  • Experience in ASPICE-compliant project execution.
  • Knowledge of Functional Safety and Cybersecurity preferred.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, planning, and risk-handling skills.
  • Certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or Functional Safety certifications are an advantage.
