Technical Product Manager

Role Overview and Responsibilities:

Dhruva Space is looking for an experienced Technical Product Manager Ground Station Software to own the end-to-end product lifecycle of the ISOCS (Mission Control Software) solution. The role focuses on managing ongoing development, driving continuous improvement, and delivering reliable software for satellite communication and ground station operations.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap for ground station software.
• Gather and prioritize requirements from stakeholders, including satellite operators, engineers, and mission planners.
• Collaborate with engineering teams(software and ground station), solution architects, and UX teams to deliver high-quality, reliable software solutions.
• Benchmark against competitors and incorporate best practices from other space organizations.
• Monitor product performance, analyze metrics, and iterate to improve usability, reliability, and functionality.
• Drive go-to-market strategy and coordinate product launches with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure compliance with space industry standards and operational requirements.
• Coordinate with ground station team and prepare software engineers for deployment support in client location
• Improve client onboarding experience for GSaaS users

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Aerospace, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Product Manager for software products, preferably in the space or satellite communication domain.
• Understanding of ground station operations, satellite telemetry, tracking, and control systems.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle, agile methodologies, and project management tools.
• Any Experience with ground station automation, mission planning, or satellite operations software.
• Knowledge of space industry standards and protocols (CCSDS, S-band/X-band communications, etc.) is desirable or willingness to learn the basics is required.
• Ability to interact with international satellite operators and vendors.
• Experience benchmarking products from other space companies.
• Strong understanding of various cloud services and cloud architecture designs.
• AWS cloud certification is highly desirable.
• Basic understanding of networking and network protocols.
