Job Summary:

We are looking for a passionate and data-driven SEO Executive to join our digital team and drive organic traffic growth for our news website. The ideal candidate will be well-versed with real-time SEO, breaking news optimization, content structuring, and technical hygiene, with a strong understanding of how search trends impact news content.

Key Responsibilities: -

·        Optimize headlines, meta titles, and descriptions in real-time for breaking news and trending topics.

·        Conduct keyword research using tools like Google Trends, SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc., focused on news intent.

·        Collaborate with editorial teams to align SEO best practices with content publishing.

·        Implement schema markup for articles, live blogs, videos, etc.

·        Create and maintain SEO checklists and guidelines for editors and writers.

Technical SEO: -

·        Ensure website crawlability, indexing, and page speed using Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, etc.

·        Monitor and resolve technical issues such as 404 errors, duplicate content, and redirection problems.

·        Work with developers to implement structured data, canonical tags, AMP, and Core Web Vitals improvements.

Skills & Qualifications: -

·        2-5 years of SEO experience, preferably in a digital news/media environment.

·        Proficiency in tools like Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs/SEMrush, Google Trends, Screaming Frog.

·        Strong understanding of news SEO, E-E-A-T, and Google News/Top Stories inclusion criteria.

·        Good communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, real-time content environment.

·        Basic knowledge of HTML, schema, and WordPress or CMS systems used in publishing.
