Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
3 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

5 years of experience in software development and with data structures/algorithms.
3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
Experience working on ML, Gen-AI and Information Retrieval problems.
Experience in leading a team that takes experimental systems from a prototype stage to a working product.
Experience working across the stack (e.g., Front-end, serving backends, data pipelines, etc.).

Responsibilities

Lead a team of software engineers and offer clarity with planning, designs, execution and mentor them. Take responsibility for large technical problems that span multiple teams/components and systematically lead the team to solve them.
Build strong partnerships across product area and across functions (Geo, GPay, Shopping Merchants), align on the problems/solutions, manage stakeholders, and drive progress.
Understand the technical nuances and zoom-out to connect the technical dots between teams and help the team solve complex technical problems in this space.
Learn and adapt quickly and stay on top of all the changes/progress happening.
