System Engineer(Contract)

This role is a mix of monitoring platform skills and network expertise.

Primary ? Cisco Wireless Admin, Switches CORE L2/L3, DNA Center Backup and Restore, Generating DNA Center Reports

Secondary - Python scripting, auto scripting, Device onboarding, Monitoring, Application Visibility, 

Here’s a high-level overview of the requirements:

• Understanding DNA Center Architecture & Image Management: Proficiency in comprehending the architecture of DNA Center, including its components and how images are managed within the platform.
• Knowledge of Network Connectivity Options on DNA Center Appliances: Familiarity with various connectivity options available for DNA Center appliances, ensuring optimal network setup and configuration.
• DNA Center High Availability & Clustering: Ability to implement high availability and clustering configurations for DNA Center to ensure uninterrupted network management services.
• Software Image Management: Competence in managing software images within DNA Center, including image upgrades, rollbacks, and ensuring compatibility with network devices.
• Scripting Skills: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python to automate tasks and workflows within DNA Center, enhancing operational efficiency.
• New Device Onboarding and Migration from DNAC: Capability to onboard new devices onto DNA Center and migrate existing devices seamlessly, ensuring minimal disruption to network operations.
• Monitoring Device, Client, and Application Health: Proficient in monitoring the health and performance of network devices, clients, and applications using DNA Center’s monitoring tools.
• Discovery and Provisioning for Devices: Ability to discover and provision network devices efficiently within DNA Center, ensuring proper configuration and compliance with network policies.
• Template Design: Competence in designing and implementing templates within DNA Center for consistent and scalable network configuration across devices.
• Application Visibility and Integration with Umbrella: Understanding of how DNA Center provides visibility into application traffic and integration capabilities with Cisco Umbrella for enhanced security and control.
• Troubleshooting using DNA Center Assurance Tools: Proficiency in utilizing DNA Center’s assurance tools for troubleshooting network issues, identifying root causes, and implementing remediation actions.
• Integration with Thousand Eyes: Knowledge of integrating DNA Center with Thousand Eyes for comprehensive network monitoring and visibility across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• AI Analytics and Machine Learning in DNA Center: Understanding of how DNA Center leverages AI analytics and machine learning algorithms to provide insights, predict network behavior, and automate actions for optimization.
• DNA Center Backup and Restore: Capability to perform backups of DNA Center configurations and data, as well as restore operations in the event of system failures or data loss.
• Generating DNA Center Reports: Ability to generate and interpret reports from DNA Center, providing insights into network performance, compliance, and security posture.
