Job Description
Transaction Storage & Config (TSC) team is looking for a System Development Engineer to enable the movement of critical Amazon data allowing business service workloads to operate regions of their choice.
The end
- state architecture will enable services to break region coupling while retaining the ability to keep critical business functions within a region.
This architecture will improve customer latency through local affinity to compute resources and reduce the blast radius in case of region failures.
We are looking for System Development engineers with a strong sense of ownership and passion for delivering efficiency initiatives of our services, building tools, infrastructure maintenance and engaging with stakeholders to create significant impact on our systems.

The ideal candidate must be detail oriented, have good verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, able to juggle multiple tasks at once, able to work independently and can maintain professionalism under pressure.
You must be able to identify problems before they happen and implement solutions that detect and prevent outages.
You must be able to accurately prioritize projects, make sound judgments, work to improve the customer experience, and get the right things done.

The Transactional Storage and Config (TSC) organization supports the Amazon builders by providing technologies for Transaction Storage, high cardinality configuration storages, and safe movement of Amazon Data.
Our projects support Amazon businesses like Stores, Alexa, Kindle, and Prime Video.

Basic Qualifications
- Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
