At VSLPowerhive, we are expanding our Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) vertical across Kolkata and were looking for professionals who want to create impact not just fill a role.

Role Purpose

The BESS Supply Chain Planner is responsible for end-to-end planning of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects and manufacturing operations. The role ensures material availability, optimized inventory, project alignment, and timely delivery while managing long lead-time components such as cells, inverters, containers, PCS, and balance of plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop integrated demand and supply plans for BESS projects and production lines.
• Create and manage Master Production Schedule (MPS) aligned with project timelines.
• Plan procurement requirements for long lead-time components (Li-ion cells, BMS, PCS, transformers, containers, EMS).
• Collaborate with sourcing teams for supplier capacity alignment and risk mitigation.
• Monitor inventory levels (RM, WIP, FG) and optimize working capital.
• Drive monthly S&OP process and highlight supply-demand gaps.
• Coordinate with Project Management, Engineering, Logistics & EXIM teams for dispatch readiness.
• Manage import planning and logistics timelines for critical components.
• Track forecast accuracy, service levels, and plan adherence KPIs.
• Identify supply risks (cell shortages, logistics delays, regulatory constraints) and implement mitigation plans.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelors degree in Engineering / Supply Chain / Operations

MBA in Operations / Supply Chain (Preferred)

1015 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning (BESS /Battery )

Strong ERP knowledge (SAP / Oracle) and Advanced Excel skills

Experience handling import planning and global suppliers preferred
