Important: Candidates must be based in Delhi or willing to relocate to Delhi. The interview process will be conducted face-to-face at our Connaught Place office.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior PCB & Hardware Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and validating complex PCBs used in embedded systems, IoT devices, and power electronics products.
- Design 4-layer to 6-layer multi-layer PCBs for embedded and power electronic applications using Altium Designer or equivalent tools.
- Develop and validate analog, digital, and power circuits ensuring reliability and optimal performance.
- Perform schematic design, signal integrity (SI), power integrity (PI), and thermal analysis to minimize noise, EMI/EMC, and ripple.
- Work closely with R&D, Mechanical, and Production teams to ensure manufacturability and design optimization.
- Conduct Design Rule Check (DRC), Design for Manufacturing (DFM), and Design for Test (DFT) verification.
- Generate manufacturing documentation including Gerber files, BOM, stack-up details, and assembly drawings.
- Maintain and manage PCB component libraries, footprints, and 3D models.
- Support prototype development, testing, debugging, and validation before mass production.
- Troubleshoot PCB and hardware-related issues during product development.
- B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 35 years of hands-on experience in PCB design and hardware development.
- Experience in designing 4-layer to 6-layer PCBs.
- Strong proficiency in Altium Designer or similar PCB design tools.
- Good understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles.
- Knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity, grounding, and EMI/EMC considerations.
- Familiarity with communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, RS-485, and CAN.
- Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-2221, IPC-A-600, etc.).
- Hands-on experience in circuit testing, debugging, and validation.
- Strong documentation and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in IoT devices, embedded systems, or industrial electronics.
- Exposure to high-speed PCB design and power electronics circuits.
- Familiarity with thermal and signal simulation tools.
- Work with a 30-year legacy IoT and electronics manufacturing company.
