Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Automation Test Engineer Playwright to join our Testing & Automation team, working on a mission-critical enterprise application . The role requires strong hands-on expertise in test automation using Playwright and Java , along with the ability to drive automation strategy and ensure high-quality product delivery.

You will be actively involved throughout the product development lifecycle from requirement analysis and estimation to automated test development, CI/CD integration, and continuous quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and convert them into effective test scenarios and automation strategies
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable automation frameworks
• Implement automated tests using Playwright, Java, Gherkin, and Cucumber
• Drive test automation adoption and best practices across projects
• Perform code reviews and ensure automation code quality and maintainability
• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other QA engineers
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (planning, estimation, retrospectives)
• Ensure accurate documentation of test cases, automation scripts, and test results

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• 812 years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on automation
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright
• Strong proficiency in Java
• Experience with Gherkin & Cucumber (BDD frameworks)
• Strong understanding of automation framework design
• Excellent code reading, debugging, and problem-solving skills
• Experience writing clean, reusable, and maintainable automation code
• Hands-on experience with Git, Maven, and Jenkins
• Experience using JIRA, Confluence, and Splunk
• Solid understanding of CI/CD and test automation integration

Good to Have

• Experience working on European projects (Germany preferred)
• German language skills
• Exposure to performance, security, or API automation
