SQA Engineer ( SATCOM & Embedded)

We are hiring for our client in defense and Aerospace industry for SQA Engineer for Hyderabad location who has 3-5 years of experience in embedded software QA, preferably in satellite or telecom domains. The candidate must have experience in RTOS, embedded C/C++, microcontroller platforms, and hardware-software integration.

Responsibilities

• Define and own test strategy, planning, and execution for embedded software/firmware in satellite communication systems.
• Provide technical leadership to QA engineers working on modem software, SDRs, control units, and embedded RF devices.
• Review and improve QA processes to align with industry standards (DO-178C, DO-254, ISO 12207).
• Collaborate with development, systems, and integration teams to ensure full test coverage.

Test Development & Execution

• Lead creation and execution of test plans, test cases, and automation for embedded systems.
• Work with RTOS, satellite communication protocols (ALOHA, TDMA), and networking (TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP).

Defect Management & Debugging

• Oversee issue triaging, root cause analysis, and support development teams with logs, traces, and diagnostics.

Compliance & Reporting

• Ensure documentation, traceability, and regulatory compliance for defense/space-qualified systems.
• Generate test reports, traceability matrices, and quality metrics.
• Support internal/external audits by defense agencies or certification bodies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors/Masters in Electronics & Communication Engineering.
• 3-5 years in embedded software QA
• Strong knowledge of RTOS, embedded C/C++, microcontroller platforms, and hardwaresoftware integration.
• Experience with RF systems, signal processing, and satellite communication protocols.
• Proficiency in Python, Shell scripting, and tools like JTAG debuggers, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in defense-grade or space-qualified systems.
• Familiarity with DO-178C, DO-254, IEEE-12207, CMMI Level 5.
• Understanding of digital modulation/demodulation, RF link budgets, and satellite modem architectures.
