Sourcing Executive

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Sourcing professional to drive end-to-end sourcing for our bags & accessories category. This is a factory-based, on-ground role, requiring close coordination with vendors, production teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth material flow and timely production. You will play a key role in product development, vendor management, and day-to-day factory operations.

Key Responsibilities

Vendor & Supplier Management

• Manage and coordinate with existing vendors for sampling, pricing, timelines, and production updates
• Identify and onboard new vendors aligned with the brands quality and sustainability standards
• Maintain updated vendor database including quotes, MOQs, lead times, and certifications
• Build strong vendor relationships to ensure reliability, quality, and timely deliveries

Sourcing & Product Development

• Source fabrics, trims, hardware, and packaging materials for bags & accessories
• Work closely with the design team and factory teams on-ground to understand product requirements, materials, prints, and construction
• Drive sample development by coordinating with vendors and tracking revisions, approvals, and timelines
• Suggest alternative materials and sourcing options for cost optimization and innovation

Trend & Market Research

• Track product, material, print, and design trends across Indian and global markets
• Research competitors, marketplaces, and industry developments for sourcing insights
• Explore new materials, finishes, and sustainable alternatives relevant to bags & accessories
• Share actionable insights with design and product teams

Production & Operations Support

• Coordinate with vendors and factory production teams on timelines, dispatch schedules, and documentation
• Be actively involved in on-ground factory coordination to ensure material readiness and smooth production flow
• Track sampling and bulk production status to ensure on-time delivery
• Liaise with logistics partners for dispatches, inward materials, and shipment tracking
• Support quality checks and resolve material or production-related issues proactively

Internal Coordination

• Collaborate with internal teams on costing, timelines, and production planning
• Maintain trackers for sampling, production, and deliveries
• Ensure smooth flow of information between design, sourcing, and factory operations teams
• Support day-to-day sourcing and factory operations

Requirements

Education

• Degree/Diploma in Fashion Technology, Textile Design, Accessories Design, Apparel Production, or related field

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in sourcing/merchandising for bags, accessories, or similar categories
• Prior experience working in a factory or manufacturing setup is mandatory

Skills & Knowledge

• Strong understanding of fabrics, trims, and bag hardware (zippers, buckles, closures, etc.)
• Good knowledge of sourcing processes, vendor management, and costing
• Strong negotiation and coordination skills
• Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for tracking and reporting
• Clear communication skills for vendor and internal coordination
