Solar Plant Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically sound Utility-Scale Solar Plant Design Engineer to lead and execute detailed engineering for ground-mounted solar PV power plants (100 MW 500+ MW). The candidate will be responsible for complete plant design including DC, AC, civil coordination, grid integration, and compliance with applicable regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Design & Engineering

• Prepare complete electrical design for utility-scale solar PV plants.
• Perform DC system design including:
• Module selection
• String sizing and voltage window analysis
• Inverter loading ratio (ILR) calculation
• AC system design including:
• Transformer sizing (Inverter Duty / Step-up)
• HT/LT cable sizing and routing
• Switchgear specification
• Prepare and review:
• Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
• Plant layout drawings
• Cable schedules
• Earthing & lightning protection layouts
• SCADA architecture diagrams

2. System Studies & Optimization

• Conduct performance simulations using PVsyst
• Perform shadow analysis and energy yield assessment
• Conduct voltage drop calculations and loss analysis
• Optimize plant design for maximum performance ratio (PR)
