Job Title : Software Engineer

Location : Bangalore

Business & Team:

The Procurement Technology team provide end-to-end IT support for the Group Procurement business (including Business Solutions, Architecture, Project Delivery, Service Management and Service Operations).

Our application portfolio includes SaaS solutions such as SAP Ariba, SAP Fieldglass, Coupa Risk Assess and ServiceNow Procurement Service Management. Working with our colleagues across Group Technology we are modernising the Procurement function through SaaS, Cloud, AI, and low/no code technologies while taking a data and architecture-led approach to simplifying the procurement data supply chain.

Impact & contribution:

As a member of the Procurement Squad, you will utilise advanced technical expertise of software engineering principles and practices within AWS Cloud to achieve business outcomes for Group Procurement. Take ownership of Vendor Master solution and align with CBA Cloud roadmaps and technical direction. Produce high quality, sustainable solutions to meet business requirements, leveraging approved delivery frameworks. Influence and guide stakeholders to ensure that solutions are robust, secure and highly available. Uplift the quality of technical solutions by applying industry best practice. Technical governance of project delivery to ensure successful delivery and adoption.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Resolve AWS defects as per CBA Incident Process in line with SLAs.
• Manage the AAH PCCS cluster and Kubernetes including new containers and upgrades.
• Maintain CI/CD code.
• Proactively monitoring and administer the Cloud infrastructure via Cloud Monitoring and Alert message.
• Support Execution – delivery of squad backlog that requires AWS Cloud
• Support all AAH environments.
• Execution – delivery of squad backlog as per Procurement Technical Delivery Lead’s guidance
• Design, Build & Test as per Procurement backlog requirements.
• Support test cycles based on the risk and phase of the testing – system testing, system integration testing,
• end to end testing, performance testing, NFT and regression testing.
• Collaborate closely within your scrum team to drive testability in solution design and promote best test
• engineering practices in the development process. Connect with CBA Cloud communities such as OneCloud, PCCS, Engineering Group
• Facilitate change management process and represent in Pre-CAB.
• Coordinate with deployment team and facilitate STG and production deployment.

Essential Skills:

• 5-7 years of experience as a Cloud Software Engineer extensive collaboration across agile and waterfall teams
• Strong Demonstrable working experience in AWS Cloud and
• containerised technologies e.g., Kubernetes/EKS.
• Experience in CI/CD tools and Dev Ops
• Job Scheduling and Monitoring tools eg Splunk, Autosys etc
• Tertiary qualifications in an IT/computer-related discipline
•  API integration configuration
• Understanding job scheduling and dependencies
•  Defect Management process (prioritization and management)
• Working with multi-location teams. Additionally, exposure to the following would be highly advantageous though not essential.
• Experience in Banking industry (Procurement)

Education Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
