Job Description — Social Media Video Editor Intern

Role Overview

We are looking for a Social Media Video Editor who can both shoot and edit engaging video content tailored for digital-first platforms. This role will be responsible for creating high-quality, trend-led videos aligned with the brand’s social media strategy, ensuring fast turnarounds while maintaining strong visual storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

  •  Shoot and edit videos for social media platforms including Instagram Reels, Stories, and short-form digital content.

  •  Handle end-to-end video production — from filming to final edits.

  •  Edit videos in vertical and social-first formats (9:16), ensuring platform optimization.

  •  Work closely with the social media and marketing team to execute content calendars, campaigns, and trend-led formats.

  •  Add music, captions, transitions, effects, and motion graphics aligned with brand guidelines.

  •  Ensure quick turnaround on edits while maintaining quality and consistency.

  •  Stay updated with trending editing styles, reels formats, and social media storytelling. 

Required Skills & Tools

  •  Strong knowledge of editing platforms such as:

  •  Adobe Premiere Pro

  •  InShot

  •  CapCut (or similar mobile editing tools)

  •  Basic familiarity with After Effects or motion graphics is a plus.

  •  Understanding of social media formats, pacing, and engagement hooks.

  •  Experience shooting content using DSLR, mirrorless cameras, or mobile devices.

  •  Strong sense of aesthetics, storytelling, and Gen-Z digital trends.

  •  Ability to work in a fast-paced social media environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  •  Prior experience editing content for fashion, lifestyle, beauty, or social-first brands.

  •  Knowledge of lighting, framing, and composition for digital video.

  •  Understanding of platform algorithms and video performance best practices.
