Small World Developer

Job Overview:

TRC India is seeking a Smallworld Developer with 25 years of overall experience and strong expertise in the Smallworld suite of products . The role involves leading Smallworld customizations and Magik development while mentoring junior team members. The selected candidate will take ownership of assigned modules and provide technical expertise across development activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take complete ownership of assigned tasks or modules
• Lead Smallworld customizations and Magik development
• Develop modules using Magik, perform unit testing, and write MUnit tests
• Provide technical leadership and support problem-solving efforts
• Work within Agile development cycles and methodologies
• Deliver development work using Smallworld 5 , EO/GDO or PNI, DM, GSS, EO Web, FME, Oracle, Magik, and Java
• Support and execute Smallworld system upgrades to Smallworld 5
• Prepare and maintain functional and technical documentation
• Use Git for source code management
• Collaborate effectively as a team player with a proactive, can-do attitude
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders using strong verbal and written skills
• Effectively converse in Hindi and English

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• 25 years of experience with strong exposure to Smallworld technologies
• High-level architectural understanding of Smallworld 5
• Hands-on expertise with:
• EO/GDO or PNI
• DM, GSS, EO Web
• CASE tools
• Data Models
• FME, Oracle
• Magik and Java programming
• Experience working in Agile development environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience mentoring junior developers
