APM Terminals

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Build strong and lasting relationship with the with all stakeholders within the customer’s organization
  • Ensure all customer issues and queries are attended to on priority with minimal escalations
  • Establish relationship-based customer service delivery
  • Work with the team to deliver top quartile results on customer experience and drive owner mindset for Business
  • Studying the annual volume forecasts as developed by the demand planning team of the customer
  • Creation of baseline spend (at overall and transport mode level) using the customer demand forecast and plan for additional capacity/RFQ in coordination with Customer team
  • Ownership of the entire RFQ process from RFI to RFP to RFQ across transport modes.
  • Performing regular (monthly, quarterly, annual) vendor evaluation based on set performance measures as aligned with the customer
  • Partner with the customer purchase/procurement team to evaluate RFQ/tender/spot quote submissions, offers as well as negotiate on behalf of the customer incl. recommending service providers to customers based on performance, service level and cost
  • Closure of RFQ process with each service provider through award of business processes such as service agreement signings & onboarding programmes
  • Ownership of the exception procurement approval process
  • Work with overseas customer offices on shipment prioritization matrices as well as carrier allocation
  • Collaborating with the customer, their plants as well as other 3PLs (CHAs, transport operators, carriers) to ensure seamless logistics planning
  • Coordination of Exports processes across transport models - Ocean, Air, LCL - from cargo readiness & booking to BL release stage.

  • Identify and develop talent in team
  • Lead by example for team members
  • Monitor team KPIS and take corrective actions
  • Proper delegation of work among team members
  • Training for new team member
  • Identify areas of revenue leakages
  • Drive commercials and profits at customer level
  • Experience:
  • SCM background with proper understanding of international supply chains
  • Minimum 5 years of work Experience from operational roles in Logistic industry.
