Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled signal processing engineer with strong expertise in MATLAB-based algorithm design , various Radar signal processing algorithms , and communication system modelling . The candidate will be responsible for developing, simulating, optimizing, and validating waveforms for advanced wireless, Radar signal processing chain, Software-Defined Radio (SDR) systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and simulate communication waveforms (narrowband, wideband, OFDM, spread-spectrum, LFM, custom military waveforms, etc.) using MATLAB and Simulink .
  • Implement and validate Radar digital signal processing algorithms , including filtering, synchronization, modulation/demodulation, and channel coding.
  • Knowledge in Pulse modulation signal processing chain, FMCW signal processing chain, FFT, matched filters implementation, CFAR & Algorithms related to radar signal detection & Processing in noise & clutter environment.
  • Perform link-level simulations , sensitivity analysis, BER/Eb-No performance evaluation.
  • Convert MATLAB algorithms into fixed-point implementations for embedded SDR platforms (e.g., FPGA, DSP processors).
  • Collaborate with RF engineers, DSP engineers, and embedded developers to ensure seamless integration of waveforms into real-time systems.
  • Develop test vectors , validation scripts, and automated test frameworks using MATLAB.
  • Optimize waveform performance under constraints such as bandwidth, power, latency, and interference .
  • Analyse ITU, MIL-STD, and custom communication protocol requirements and translate them into waveform specifications.
  • Support system-level integration and field testing.


Key Skills Required:

  • Bachelors or masters degree in electrical engineering, Electronics, Communication Engineering , or related field.
  • Experience in waveform development, DSP, or communication systems.
  • Strong proficiency in MATLAB , Simulink, and Communication System Toolbox.
  • Hands-on experience in modulation techniques (FSK/PSK/QAM, OFDM, FHSS, DSSS, etc.).
  • Proficiency in DSP algorithms , filtering, FFTs, timing/frequency synchronization.
  • Familiarity with channel models (Rayleigh, AWGN, Rician, multipath fading).
  • Experience generating C code using MATLAB Coder (optional but preferred).
  • Experience with SDR platforms (USRP, Ettus, AD9361, etc.) is an advantage.
  • Experience with LabVIEW software is an advantage.
  • Understanding of FPGA-based implementation (VHDL/Verilog exposure beneficial).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
