Job Summary

The Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of company machinery at customer sites. The role requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to provide timely support to ensure optimal machine performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Installation & Commissioning

• Install and commission machinery at customer locations.
• Ensure proper setup and functionality according to company standards.

1. Maintenance & Repairs

• Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing of machines.
• Diagnose mechanical or electrical faults and carry out necessary repairs.

1. Technical Support

• Provide technical support to customers for machine operation and troubleshooting.
• Guide customers on proper usage and maintenance of machines.

1. Customer Service

• Visit customer sites to resolve service issues within the defined turnaround time.
• Maintain strong professional relationships with clients.

1. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain service reports, maintenance logs, and customer visit records.
• Report service activities and technical issues to the service manager.

1. Training & Demonstration

• Train customers and operators on machine usage and safety procedures.
• Provide demonstrations during installation or after service.

1. Spare Parts Management

• Identify required spare parts and coordinate with the service department.
• Ensure proper usage and replacement of parts during servicing.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Good troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently at customer locations.
• Good communication and customer handling skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively.

Qualification

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field.

Experience

• 14 years of experience in machine installation, servicing, or maintenance (preferred).
