Senior Systems Operations Engineer

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior System Operations Engineer

In this role, you will:

• Lead or participate in managing all installed systems and infrastructure within the Systems Operations functional area
• Contribute in increasing system efficiencies and lowering the human intervention time on related tasks
• Review and analyze moderately complex operational support systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
• Work with vendors and other technical personnel for problem resolution
• Lead team to meet technical deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of technical process controls or standards
• Collaborate with vendors and other technical personnel to resolve technical issues and achieve highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

• 4+ years of application production support experience
• Exposure in developing code based solutions to accomplish automation needs
• 3+ years of infrastructure support experience
• 4 + years of experience troubleshooting environments across the entire architecture (i.e., applications to infrastructure)
• Knowledge and understanding of system monitoring and automation.
• Knowledge and understanding of system/application architecture and design concepts.
• Experience with one or more Agile tools used for tracking user stories or backlogs, such as Confluence or Jira
• 4+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, education.
• 4+ years of application support using RedHat Linux and/or Windows operating systems, as well as supporting applications (Java / Dot NET based) that utilize database management systems such as MS SQL Server, Oracle, or Mongo.
• 4+ years of experience supporting cloud technologies.
• 4+ years of experience with Application performance, monitoring and optimization using tools such Blaze meter, JMeter, Splunk and AppDynamics, Elastic and Grafana
• 4+ years of experience with scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, Shell, VBScript, or JavaScript
• 2+ years of experience designing and managing Splunk Dashboards, reports, lookup tables, and summary indexes.
• 4+ years of application production support experience
• Ability to work independently, with the flexibility to work in a 24x7 environment.
• Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management.
• Leadership skills including coaching, training, and mentoring.
