Designation: Sr. Manager- Structural Design Engineer

Qualification: B.E. Civil & M. Tech (Structural Engineering)

Location: Pune

Job Description

1. Lead and manage the structural design of water infrastructure components, including:- Water and wastewater treatment plants, Intake structure, forebays, Pump House, Water storage tanks and reservoirs, Large-diameter pipelines and associated structures, Retaining walls, culverts, and structural supports.
2. Perform advanced structural analysis and design in compliance with relevant codes and standards (e.g., BIS, ACI, AISC, ASCE, etc).
3. Prepare and review detailed engineering drawings, specifications, calculations and reports.
4. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, mechanical, process, and electrical engineers.
5. Conduct field investigations and structural assessments for existing facilities.
6. Lead or support construction phase services including submittal reviews, RFIs, field inspections, and resolving design/construction issues.
7. Mentor junior engineers and support team development.
8. Ensure designs are cost-effective, constructible, and meet quality and safety standards.
9. Support project proposals, estimation, and bidding processes by providing technical inputs and scope definitions.
10. To work out item wise bill of quantity of Project.
11. To work out quantity estimation and bar bending schedule from drawings.
12. Design approvals from government department and vetting institutes.
13. Travelling on site/Government department for convincing, scrutiny & approval.
14. Report writing and presentation skills is necessary.

Skills and Knowledge:

1. Knowledge of Water Supply Scheme & Irrigation PDN projects structure designs i.e. Intake Well, Jack Well, Sump Cum Pump House, WTP, MBRs, ESRs, GSRs, Thrust blocks and Anchor blocks, etc.
2. Knowledge of different types of Pipes, Valves, Pumps, design manuals and relevant IS codes.
3. Proficient in structural design software such as AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, etc. and familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and/or Civil 3D.
4. Good and clear communication skills.
