Senior Software/Principal Engineer (Backend)

Role Overview:

Our client is looking for strong backend engineers to build and scale their core platform.

You will work on high-impact systems powering enterprise-grade, AI-driven automation across large-scale SaaS environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build scalable, multi-tenant SaaS systems
• Develop high-performance backend services and APIs
• Contribute to or lead distributed system architecture decisions
• Improve reliability, observability, scalability, and performance
• Build cloud-native systems on AWS/GCP/Azure
• Collaborate with product, data, and AI teams to deliver robust solutions
• Uphold strong engineering standards across testing, CI/CD, and code quality

What Were Looking For:

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience in product/SaaS companies
• Strong proficiency in Python, Node.js, or similar backend technologies
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and system design principles
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Strong fundamentals in scalability, performance, and clean architecture
• Experience building and maintaining production-grade systems
• Demonstrated ownership of architecture decisions
• Deep expertise in designing scalable distributed systems
• Experience mentoring senior engineers and driving engineering standards
• Ability to influence technical direction across teams

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to AI/ML systems, LLMs, or workflow automation platforms
• Experience in high-growth startup environments
• Strong DevOps and CI/CD experience
