Located in Bangalore, Patil-I-Labs is designed to complement Patil Groups manufacturing and track engineering capabilities by developing next-generation products in Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Machine Vision.

About the Role

In this role, you will lead the end-to-end development of AI/ML and computer vision solutionsfrom model design to deployment and field commissioning. You will work on building high-performance deep learning models using techniques such as transfer learning and fine-tuning, while also applying strong image processing and data preparation skills. The position requires hands-on involvement with camera systems, LiDAR, and other data acquisition hardware, along with designing robust system architectures for production environments. You will collaborate across hardware, software, and product teams to deliver reliable, scalable AI solutions, leveraging Python and modern AI frameworks. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in solving complex technical challenges, stays updated with emerging technologies, and can drive AI/ML product development with quality and performance at the forefront.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and commission AI/ML/CV-based products as per customer requirements
• Apply transfer learning and fine-tuning for deep learning models
• Skilled in image pre-processing, augmentation, and classical image processing techniques
• Manage full AI/ML development lifecycles with a focus on quality and performance
• Strong in system architecture and hardware integration for production environments
• Hands-on with camera systems, LiDAR, and data acquisition device tuning
• Proficient in Python and AI/ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and OpenCV
• Knowledgeable in Agile/Waterfall methodologies and industry standards
• Experienced with version control systems (GitHub, Bitbucket)
• Familiar with cloud/edge/GPU hardware and communication protocols
• Strong foundation in algorithms, optimization, and problem-solving
• Stay current with emerging AI/ML tools, frameworks, and trends

Qualifications

• BE, BTech, ME, MTech, M.Sc. (relevant academic background in AI/ML and computer vision)
• 4 - 8 years of relevant experience

Required Skills

• Proficient in Python and AI/ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and OpenCV
• Strong foundation in algorithms, optimization, and problem-solving

Preferred Skills

• Familiar with cloud/edge/GPU hardware and communication protocols
• Knowledgeable in Agile/Waterfall methodologies and industry standards
