Senior SAP ABAP Consultant

Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior SAP ABAP Consultant with strong experience in RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model) to design, develop, and support modern SAP S/4HANA applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in ABAP on HANA , CDS views, OData services, and SAP Fiori integration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop applications using ABAP RAP (Managed / Unmanaged scenarios)
• Develop and enhance ABAP on HANA objects, including CDS Views , AMDP, and OData services
• Build and expose RESTful services using RAP framework
• Work closely with functional consultants to understand business requirements and provide technical solutions
• Develop and optimize Fiori applications integrated with RAP services
• Perform code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning
• Ensure adherence to SAP best practices, coding standards, and security guidelines
• Provide support during UAT, go-live, and post-production phases
• Prepare technical documentation and knowledge transfer materials

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development
• Strong hands-on experience with ABAP RAP
• Expertise in ABAP on HANA
• Experience with CDS Views (Basic, Composite, Consumption)
• Knowledge of OData V2/V4 services
• Good understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture
• Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 integration
• Familiarity with BOPF is a plus
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
• Exposure to CI/CD and Git-based version control
• SAP ABAP or S/4HANA certifications are an advantage

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
