Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Roku Developer to act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and lead the design, development, and optimization of Roku applications. The role requires strong technical expertise in Roku BrightScript and SceneGraph, along with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and take ownership of technical decisions to deliver high-quality OTT streaming experiences.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Roku platform development.
• Lead, mentor, and collaborate with the development team to ensure high performance and timely delivery.
• Own and drive technical decision-making for Roku applications.
• Design, develop, and enhance applications for the Roku platform using BrightScript and SceneGraph.
• Ensure smooth streaming, high performance, and an optimal user experience across Roku devices.
• Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers to implement intuitive and user-friendly interfaces.
• Perform testing and validation across multiple Roku devices and OS versions.
• Manage application updates and ensure compatibility with Roku OS changes.
• Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement fixes proactively.
• Stay up to date with Roku development standards, tools, and industry best practices.

Professional & Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Roku application development using BrightScript .
• In-depth knowledge of Roku SceneGraph framework .
• Solid understanding of OTT platforms , streaming workflows, and media playback.
• Experience with video encoding standards, streaming formats, and DRM technologies .
• Proficiency in debugging, performance tuning, and optimizing Roku applications.
• Experience integrating web services and REST APIs.
• Good understanding of front-end development and UX/UI design principles.
• Proven experience with performance optimization across Roku devices.
• Strong grasp of the software development life cycle (SDLC) .
• High attention to detail with a focus on usability and performance.

Additional Information

• Minimum 7.5 years of hands-on Roku development experience is required.
• Work location: Bengaluru .
• Mandatory 15 years of full-time education .
