Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions by designing and executing effective test strategies. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in Java, Cypress, and API testing and is passionate about building defect-free software systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using Java and Cypress for web and API applications.
• Design, write, and execute test cases and scenarios for functional, regression, performance, and scalability testing.
• Perform API testing using tools like Postman , RestAssured , or similar libraries to ensure system integration quality.
• Collaborate with the development and product teams to understand requirements and identify testing needs.
• Debug issues by analyzing application logs, error messages, and stack traces.
• Continuously improve automation frameworks for efficiency, coverage, and scalability.
• Work closely with DevOps to integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Maintain test environments, ensuring consistency and reliability across the QA lifecycle.
• Document and communicate testing results, defect statuses, and metrics to stakeholders effectively.

Qualifications

• Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience :
• 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with a focus on automation testing.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java for building automated test cases.
• Proficiency with Cypress for end-to-end web application testing.
• Hands-on experience in API testing using tools like Postman , SoapUI , or Java-based libraries like RestAssured .
• Technical Skills :
• Strong understanding of HTTP, REST, and SOAP protocols.
• Familiarity with database querying (SQL) to validate backend results.
• Knowledge of version control tools such as Git .
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines.
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or Gatling .
• Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker ) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes ).
• Knowledge of cloud services (e.g., AWS, Az)
