Job Description
We’re looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer who’s not just experienced but excited about shaping how we deliver high-quality digital experiences using modern tools and practices.
You’ll join the Calix Web Engineering team, working on Calix.com — a mission-critical platform that directly impacts our employees and customers. If you have 7+ years of QA experience, are well-versed in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), and know your way around both manual testing and automation frameworks, this one’s for you.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Own and define test strategies for web solutions built on AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS).
- Perform exploratory and scenario-based testing for content, user journeys, and functional web features.
- Implement modern QA automation practices used in AEM projects, including:
- Automation aligned with CI/CD pipelines.
- Testing AEM components in isolation and via integrated workflows.
- Using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Ghost Inspector, UiPath, or other cloud-friendly automation frameworks.
- Execute API testing, validate dispatcher caching behavior, and ensure front-end performance metrics are met.
- Collaborate with developers and architects to shift-left on testing — identifying defects early.
- Support content authors by validating editable templates, content fragments, and AEM workflows.
- Participate in Agile rituals and contribute to sprint deliverables with a quality-first mindset.
- Stay current with AEM QA trends such as Headless CMS testing, SPA testing with React/Angular frontends, and automated accessibility validations.
Qualifications:
- 7 + years of QA experience in web application testing, with at least 2 years on AEM-based projects (preferably AEMaaCS).
- Hands-on experience in QA automation frameworks and scripting for modern web stacks.
- Proficiency in Test automation suites such as Cypress or Selenium or UiPath (preferred).
- Strong grasp of AEM QA best practices, including content validation, dispatcher testing, and integration testing across environments.
- Comfort with web tech (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and browser dev tools.
- Familiarity with Agile, Jira, Confluence, Source Code Repositories (like BitBucket, GitHub) and CI/CD tools (like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Adobe Cloud Manager).
- Clear communicator who’s comfortable working with global, cross-functional stakeholder teams.
- Strong and effective English skills required, both spoken and written.
- A proactive attitude — someone who doesn’t just test features, but champions quality end to end.
Location: India – (Flexible hybrid work model - work from Bangalore office for 20 days in a quarter)
