Senior Production Manager

Job Summary

The Production Planning & Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing production planning, manufacturing coordination, and quality optimization across multiple manufacturing locations. The role involves managing large-scale production volumes, improving manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, and supporting business growth through efficient planning and execution.

The incumbent will collaborate closely with demand planning, procurement, quality assurance, and new product development teams to ensure smooth operations while meeting key performance benchmarks such as FTR (First Time Right), Cost Efficiency, and OTIF (On Time In Full delivery).

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Operations

• Plan and manage production schedules based on demand forecasts to ensure timely product availability.
• Oversee production of 15+ million units across 7 manufacturing locations.
• Manage a portfolio of 120+ products and 200+ SKUs while maintaining operational efficiency.
• Ensure production capacity aligns with fluctuating market demand.
• Monitor shop floor activities and ensure adherence to production plans.

Process Optimization & Quality Improvement

• Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Work closely with Quality Assurance teams to upgrade processes and reduce product rejections.
• Establish systems to achieve First Time Right (FTR) manufacturing standards.
• Identify cost optimization opportunities in processes, raw materials, and packaging materials.
• Benchmark internal processes against industry competitors to identify improvement opportunities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure availability of raw materials and packaging materials.
• Work with Demand Planning teams to support fluctuating demand requirements.
• Coordinate with New Product Development (NPD) teams for successful product launches and portfolio expansion.
• Drive cross-functional initiatives to improve delivery timelines and customer experience.

Project & Resource Management

• Assess project requirements and allocate resources accordingly.
• Build scalable production systems to support 3x business growth.
• Manage and mentor a team of 34 associates.
• Lead production reviews and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Reporting & Governance

• Maintain MIS reports related to production, quality, and operational performance.
• Conduct regular daily and monthly production review meetings with senior management.
• Prepare, review, and authorize quality documentation.
• Provide insights and recommendations to leadership for strategic decision-making.

Experience & Qualifications

• MBA / Postgraduate in Operations or equivalent qualification.
• 4+ years of experience in production planning, manufacturing operations, or supply chain roles.
• Experience managing production operations across multiple manufacturing locations.
• Ability to independently handle production planning and shop floor coordination.
