Title: Senior Product Manager – Retail Banking

Location: United States (Remote)

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Senior Product Manager to lead the development and management of key retail banking products and services. The ideal candidate will bring deep domain expertise in consumer banking, with a focus on delivering innovative, customer-centric solutions that drive engagement, growth, and operational efficiency across channels.

This role requires a strong blend of product strategy, cross-functional leadership, stakeholder management, and domain understanding of retail banking platforms and services. While specific exposure to onboarding, deposit solutions, and branch rationalization is beneficial, the broader focus is on managing the full lifecycle of retail banking products across digital and physical channels.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle for retail banking products including ideation, business case development, design, delivery, and post-launch performance.
  • Define and maintain a clear product vision and roadmap aligned with business strategy and customer needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, operations, legal, compliance, marketing, etc.) to ensure successful product development and implementation.
  • Partner with UX and design teams to ensure seamless customer experiences across digital and in-person touchpoints.
  • Leverage data, customer feedback, and market insights to continuously refine and optimize product offerings.
  • Support modernization initiatives, including digital onboarding journeys, product innovation, and rationalization of branch footprints.
  • Ensure products meet regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and internal governance policies.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, channel optimization, and platform enhancements that drive operational efficiency.
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships and manage third-party product integrations when needed.
  • Serve as a product evangelist within the organization, communicating the value proposition and benefits of initiatives to stakeholders and executive leadership.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field; MBA or relevant certification is a plus.
  • 12+ years of experience in the Retail Banking or Financial Services industry, including 6+ years in product management roles.
  • Solid understanding of core banking systems, customer onboarding processes, deposit account management, and branch operations.
  • Experience leading agile product teams and working in cross-functional, matrixed environments.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data to inform strategic decisions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a track record of influencing senior leaders and business partners.
  • Familiarity with digital banking platforms, customer experience design, and regulatory compliance in a financial context.
  • Experience with product rationalization and transformation initiatives is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with fintech collaboration, APIs, and open banking frameworks.
  • Exposure to innovation initiatives such as digital KYC, real-time payments, or AI-driven personalization.
