Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage payroll operations in coordination with external payroll partners to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Validate payroll inputs including compensation changes, attendance, incentives, reimbursements, and statutory deductions prior to payroll processing.
  • Oversee employee lifecycle payroll activities including onboarding, employee master updates, Full & Final settlements, and No Dues Clearance coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable statutory regulations including PF, PT, labour laws, and other employment regulations across India, while coordinating with teams for overseas payroll compliance where required.
  • Coordinate actuarial valuation and accounting for employee benefit liabilities such as gratuity and leave encashment.
  • Work with Finance on payroll accounting, accruals, reconciliations, and payroll cost reporting across entities.
  • Manage relationships with payroll vendors to ensure service quality, accuracy, and adherence to timelines.
  • Support internal and external audits related to payroll, employee compensation, and statutory compliance.
  • Oversee employee taxation processes including tax declarations, documentation, and issuance of tax certificates.
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, and operational efficiency.
  • Single point of contact for 3rd party vendors like Aparajitha and should deal with PF / PT and ESIC authorities
  • Drive automation in Payroll and compliance vertical and constantly work on optimization of expenses related to processing or compliance


Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of payroll administration and statutory compliance in India.
  • Understanding of Income tax laws of India
  • Exposure to payroll coordination across international locations is an advantage.
  • Experience working with payroll outsourcing partners and HR systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage confidential payroll information.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Professional qualifications such as MBA, CA, ICWA Final / Inter, or ICWA
  • Prior experience in payroll administration and statutory compliance within multi-location organizations.
