Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle Developer with 8+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle Database Development and Administration. The ideal candidate will serve as a technical expert, bridging the gap between database development and DBA functions, with strong expertise in PL/SQL, performance tuning, job scheduling, and automated data integration.

Key Responsibilities

Database Development

Design, develop, and maintain complex Packages, Stored Procedures, Functions, Views, Triggers, and Materialized Views

Write highly optimized and scalable PL/SQL code for enterprise-grade applications

Implement advanced PL/SQL techniques and best practices

Job Orchestration & Automation

Expert use of DBMS_SCHEDULER and legacy DBMS_JOB

Manage job dependencies, scheduling, monitoring, and automation of background processes

DBA-Centric Activities

SQL performance tuning and execution plan analysis

Query optimization and indexing strategies

Schema management and database health monitoring

Troubleshooting concurrency issues and locking problems

Data Integration & Migration

Design and implement robust data loading/export processes

Work with:

SQL*Loader

External Tables

Custom PL/SQL scripts

Handle flat files (CSV, TXT) and Excel data transformations

Perform complex data migrations and transformations

Version Control & CI/CD

Manage source code using Git (Git Bash)

Work with Bitbucket repositories and pull request workflows

Integrate database code changes into CI/CD pipelines

Production Support & Troubleshooting

Resolve performance bottlenecks

Fix data integrity issues

Handle high-severity production incidents

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 8 years in Oracle Database Development & Administration

Strong expertise in PL/SQL performance optimization

Hands-on experience with:

Oracle SQL Developer / TOAD / PL/SQL Developer

SQL*Loader

Git (branching, merging, rebasing)

Bitbucket

Strong analytical skills for complex data structures and transformations

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field

Preferred Skills

Unix/Linux Shell Scripting

Experience in Agile development environments

CI/CD exposure (e.g., Jenkins)

Oracle Certifications:

Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)

Advanced PL/SQL Developer Certification
