Role Overview

vCampusIT is seeking a high-caliber Sr. Network Manager and Cloud Leader with deep expertise in hybrid-cloud ecosystems and defensive security operations. In this role, you will be responsible for the "Digital Perimeter"-ensuring that our SD-WAN fabric is seamless, our cloud footprints are optimised, and our threat detection systems (IDS/IPS) are impenetrable. You won't just build networks; you will hunt for anomalies and lead forensic reviews to harden our global infrastructure.

• Cloud Architecture: Design and manage multi-cloud networking (VPC peering, Transit Gateways, and Direct Connect/ExpressRoute) with a focus on high availability.
• Edge Security & Traffic Analysis: Deploy, tune, and manage IDS/IPS systems (e.g., Snort, Suricata, or Cisco Firepower) to identify and mitigate signature-based and behavioral threats.
• SD-WAN Leadership: Lead the migration from legacy MPLS to SD-WAN architectures (Versa, Silver Peak, or VeloCloud) to optimize application performance and reduce latency.
• Network Forensics & Footprint Review: Conduct deep-packet analysis and audit network logs to identify unauthorized access or data exfiltration. Perform "footprint reviews" to eliminate shadow IT and unused public-facing assets.
• Incident Response: Serve as the technical lead during network-related security incidents, providing forensic evidence and remediation roadmaps.

• Cloud Mastery: Proven experience with AWS Networking (Transit Gateway, PrivateLink) or Azure Networking (Virtual WAN, Front Door).
• Deep Security Stack: Advanced knowledge of SSL/TLS inspection, WAF, and implementing IDS/IPS policies at the edge and core.
• SD-WAN: Experience in path selection logic, application-aware routing, and zero-touch provisioning.
• Forensics Tools: Proficiency with Wireshark, TCPDump, NetFlow analysis , and SIEM integration (Splunk, ELK, or Sentinel) for footprint auditing.
• Automation: Scripting in Python or Go to automate the detection of configuration drift and unauthorized network changes.

• Certifications: PCNSE (Palo Alto), CCNP Security, or AWS Certified Advanced Networking.
• Experience: 8+ years in Networking, with at least 3 years focused on Cloud and Security operations.
• Mindset: A "security-first" approach to networking, where every route and port is scrutinised for its risk profile.

1. Mean Time to Detect (MTTD): Speed at which IDS/IPS alerts are validated.
2. Network Resilience: Uptime of SD-WAN tunnels and cloud-to-on-premise links.
3. Audit Readiness: Accuracy and cleanliness of the external network footprint.
