Job Description

The Senior Manager of Enterprise Data and Analytics (India) at Columbia Sportswear is a critical leadership role responsible for building, scaling, and operating Columbias offshore data and analytics engineering capabilities. This leader will hire, develop, and manage India-based teams spanning data platform engineering, data operations, and domain-aligned data engineering, while serving as a highly collaborative partner to onshore technology and business leaders.

This role is both strategic and hands-on in execution . Success requires close partnership with onshore leaders to co-create roadmaps, define and evolve the onshore/offshore operating model, and ensure seamless delivery of enterprise data products. The Senior Manager will be accountable not only for delivery outcomes, but also for making the offshore model successful through strong engagement, communication, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Offshore Capability & Operating Model Leadership

Build and scale Columbia Sportswears India-based data and analytics engineering organization, including hiring, onboarding, and developing managers and engineers across platform, operations, and domain teams.

Partner closely with onshore data, analytics, and engineering leaders to define, implement, and continuously refine the onshore/offshore operating model, including ownership boundaries, engagement models, and delivery expectations.

Strategy, Roadmap & Delivery

Co-create and execute enterprise data and analytics roadmaps in partnership with onshore leaders, ensuring alignment to Columbias broader data, analytics, and business strategies.

Translate enterprise priorities into clear, actionable plans for offshore teams, balancing near-term delivery with long-term platform and capability investments.

Lead the delivery of enterprise data products, including data integrations, data platforms, warehousing, and analytics enablement, across our Azure cloud environment.

Influence and contribute to enterprise data architecture and design decisions, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with global standards.

Cross-Functional Partnership & Collaboration

Serve as a key partner to Data and Analytics: Enterprise Analytics, Enterprise Architecture, BI Engineering, and functional engineering teams.

Build trusted relationships with business and technology stakeholders to understand priorities, anticipate needs, and align offshore delivery with business outcomes.

Effectively bridge technical and non-technical audiences across geographies, ensuring clarity, transparency, and shared accountability.

Champion a culture of collaboration, continuous feedback, and shared ownership between onshore and offshore teams.

People Leadership & Talent Development

Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of managers and engineers, with a strong emphasis on engagement, growth, and retention.

Establish clear roles, career paths, and development plans for offshore team members, aligned to Columbias global talent frameworks.

Promote engineering excellence, best practices, and a strong sense of accountability and ownership across the offshore organization.

Foster an inclusive, respectful, and high-trust team culture that supports collaboration across time zones and cultures.
