Senior Java Backend Developer – Azure Integration & Logic Apps

Role Description

We are seeking a strong Java Backend Developer with hands-on experience building cloud-native backend systems and enterprise integrations using Microsoft Azure integration services.

This role combines core Java engineering expertise with event-driven architecture and API-based integration design using Azure Logic Apps and related Azure services. You will work closely with architects, integration engineers, and product teams to design, build, and operate scalable backend and integration solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Development

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based backend services using Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Security
• Build scalable and secure RESTful APIs
• Implement business logic, validation, and data access layers
• Write clean, testable, and well-documented code following industry best practices
• Ensure application performance, scalability, and maintainability

Azure Integration and Logic Apps

• Design and implement integration workflows using Azure Logic Apps (Consumption and Standard)
• Integrate backend services with external systems, SaaS platforms, and third-party APIs
• Implement event-driven architectures using Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, and Event Hubs
• Support hybrid integrations between cloud and on-premises systems
• Implement monitoring, retries, error handling, and alerting mechanisms

Security and Best Practices

• Implement secure API design using OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect
• Manage authentication, authorization, and secure secret handling
• Use managed identities and Azure Key Vault for secure integrations

Required Technical Skills

Java and Backend

• Strong proficiency in Java (Java 11+)
• Experience with Spring Boot and Spring ecosystem frameworks
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, Microservices architecture, multithreading, and concurrency
• Experience with relational databases such as Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, or MySQL

Azure and Integration

• Hands-on experience with Azure Logic Apps
• Experience with API-based and message-based integrations
• Working knowledge of Azure Service Bus, Azure Functions, Azure API Management, and Azure Key Vault
• Strong understanding of JSON, XML, and HTTP protocols

Certifications (Required)

One or more of the following:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204)
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
