Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Interior Designer located in Bengaluru.As a Senior Interior Designer, you will be responsible for transforming interior spaces into functional, aesthetically pleasing, and safe environments for our clients. You will collaborate closely with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to bring design visions to life while adhering to project requirements, budgets, and timelines. Candidates must be detail-oriented, creative, and skilled at managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Client Consultation and Needs Assessment: Meet with clients to understand their needs, preferences, lifestyle, functional requirements, and budget for the project.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the client's vision and translate it into design concepts.
• Present design proposals, including mood boards, sketches, and 3D visualizations, to clients for feedback and approval.
• Design Development and Planning: Develop detailed design plans, including space planning, material selections (e.g., flooring, wall finishes, fabrics).
• Create detailed drawings, elevations, and specifications for construction and installation.
• Material Sourcing and Procurement: Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to obtain the best possible pricing and ensure timely delivery.
• Prepare sales orders and manage the procurement process.
• Project Management and Coordination: Develop project timelines and budgets, and manage projects to ensure they are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, builders, and other tradespeople to ensure seamless execution of the design.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, address any design-related issues, and ensure adherence to the design specifications.
• Presentation and Communication: Prepare and present design concepts, plans, and specifications to clients and stakeholders effectively.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients throughout the design process, providing updates and addressing concerns promptly.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and external partners.
• Staying Updated: Stay abreast of the latest trends, innovations, materials, and technologies in interior design.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field.
• Proven 5+ years experience as an Interior Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design projects.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop and other relevant 3D modeling and rendering software.
• Excellent knowledge of space planning principles, color theory, material selection, and furniture styling.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Detail-oriented with a keen eye for aesthetics and functionality.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.

Interview Process:

• Initial Application Review: Resumes and portfolios will be carefully reviewed based on the qualifications and demonstrated passion for textile design.
• First Round Interview (In-Person): Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an initial interview with a member of our design team or HR to discuss their background, design interests, and portfolio in more detail.
• Portfolio Review and Design Exercise: Candidates progressing to the next stage may be asked to present their portfolio in detail and/or complete a small design-related task to assess their creative and technical skills.
• Final Interview (In-Person): Final candidates will meet with senior members of the design team or management for a more in-depth discussion about their suitability for the role and company culture.
