Senior Engineer, Test Engineering – Product Development

The Sustainable Automation BU (SAU) is seeking a motivated and creative Senior Test Engineer to join our team in Bangalore. The SAU group is at the forefront of the Intelligent Edge, developing innovative silicon solutions that drive growth in our global industrial business. Our diverse portfolio of active projects includes Industrial Communications (e.g., Ethernet PHYs and Switches, IO-Link,) and Software Configurable Industrial I/O (precision analogue and high-voltage digital I/O) products that operate in harsh, high-voltage industrial environments.

The Senior Test Engineer role offers a wide variety of development opportunities and exposes you to multiple technologies and end applications. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, developing large silicon solutions to solve our customers’ biggest problems and helping ADI to win at the Intelligent Edge.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of the development team establishing hardware and software test capability on new designs of high performance digital/mixed-signal products
  • Display technical innovation in test development work on new products ensuring success in fast-growing markets
  • Play a role in DFT/BIST definition & development, through direct involvement with the Design Team early in the New Product Development to improve testability
  • Support in the pre-silicon verification of the designs through prototyping and simulation
  • Planning, tracking and expediting new products from concept stage through release
  • Ability to Develop test hardware by creating the board schematic and overseeing layout
  • Analyze tester data to debug and optimize the test solution and set parametric test limits for production using statistical methods
  • Identify functional and performance limitations of silicon to root cause
  • Prepare, document and present test characterization reports
  • Work with manufacturing to release robust, multi-site, high-performance, low-cost final test solutions and sustaining released solution
  • Develop and release to production multi-site final test / probe solutions as appropriate

Qualifications and other requirements:

  • Graduate degree in Electrical or Electronics engineering, Masters will be a plus with 4 to 7yrs of experience with a solid background in electronics fundamentals.
  • Working knowledge of any tester (Teradyne/Advantest/NI/ etc.) – Teradyne UltraFlex preferred.
  • Good analytical skills and knowledge of Python/C++/VB programming is an advantage
  • Experience in hardware (DIB’s, Qual hardware...etc.) design is desirable
  • Be well versed with the usage of bench equipment such as Oscilloscope, DMM, VI-meter….
  • Positive attitude and proactive / self-motivated / willing to accept responsibility
  • Possess strong interpersonal, teamwork & communication skills, enjoy sharing experience
