Role Definition:
Position is part of a Computational Fluid Dynamics and Engine Performance team that is responsible for supporting the Combustion, emission, performance and mechanical development of Reciprocating and Gas Turbine engines. Candidate will be responsible for supporting the Global team in design, development, and validation of Combustion System

Responsibilities:

Candidate will be responsible for providing technical guidance on performance simulation, certification and development projects for Diesel platforms. Candidate is expected to evaluate different hardware configurations and provide suitable recommendations to improve/develop new products. Candidate must ensure compliance to all process requirements & Quality systems. Candidate will be responsible for mentoring and guiding team members on technical aspects. 

Degree Requirement:
PhD/Post-graduation/Bachelors from reputed institute in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering (10 to 15 Years of Industrial Experience) with specialization in the fields of Gas Turbine engines,

Skill Descriptors:
- Knowledge of underlying theoretical principles of Gas Turbine Engine systems, strong understanding of combustion models

-Development and validation of Combustion Liners, injectors, fuel systems, and combustion schemes for gas turbine engines. 

-Experience with Combustion Rig design and operability is also highly desired.

-Experience with gas and/or liquid combustion systems, liquid spray systems or diagnostics is desired

- Knowledge in Identifying technical issue through root cause analysis and resolution

Technical Excellence:

The successful candidate should have the following qualities and qualifications:

• Self-motivated, self-starter,
• Strong aptitude and demonstrated track record in gas turbines Combustion System Development and Testing. 
• Significant knowledge in aerodynamics, heat transfer, chemical kinetics,
• Working knowledge in combustion/aerodynamic instability, and utilizing CFD (RANS / LES) in their process. 
• Previous leadership roles are strongly desired, along with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a fast-paced engineering team delivering in a timely manner.
• A passion for innovation as there will be opportunities to develop new innovative ideas to further Solar’s business, and individuals demonstrating prior innovation are highly encouraged.
