Senior Civil Engineer / Infrastructure Head Plotted Development


Location: Khalapur, Maharashtra

Role Overview


The Senior Civil Engineer / Infrastructure Head will be responsible for planning, execution, coordination, and delivery of all internal infrastructure works for a 20-acre plotted development project. The role requires strong experience in roads, stormwater drainage systems, site development, and the ability to lead and drive the entire construction team to meet quality, cost, and timeline objectives.



Key Responsibilities


1. Project Planning & Execution

Plan and execute internal infrastructure works including:

Internal roads (WBM / Asphalt / Concrete)

Stormwater drainage systems

Underground utilities

Earthwork, grading, and site development

Prepare execution schedules and monitor progress against milestones.

Ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings and specifications.



2. Technical & Infrastructure Management

Review and implement road profiles, pavement designs, and drainage layouts.

Ensure proper drainage slopes, water flow, and long-term performance.

Coordinate with consultants, surveyors, and designers for smooth execution.

Conduct quality inspections and ensure adherence to IS codes.



3. Site & Team Leadership

Lead and manage the site team including:

Site engineers

Supervisors

Contractors and subcontractors

Allocate work, set targets, and ensure site discipline and productivity.

Resolve technical and execution-related issues on site.



4. Contractor & Vendor Coordination

Finalize BOQs, work orders, and construction methodologies.

Monitor contractor performance for quality, timelines, and safety.

Verify measurements and certify running bills.

Control material usage and reduce wastage.



5. Quality, Safety & Compliance

Ensure implementation of quality standards and safety norms.

Approve materials, samples, and construction methods.

Maintain site records, documentation, and as-built drawings.

Ensure compliance with statutory and local authority requirements.



6. Cost & Schedule Control

Monitor project costs against budgets.

Identify risks related to delays, monsoon impact, or site conditions.

Propose value engineering options without compromising quality.



Required Skills & Competencies


Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of:

Road construction and pavement systems

Stormwater & underground drainage

Earthwork, grading, and infrastructure development

Ability to read and interpret detailed drawings.


Leadership Skills

Proven ability to manage and drive large construction teams.

Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.

Hands-on, execution-focused approach.



Qualifications

B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering Mandatory

Diploma holders with extensive infrastructure experience may be considered.



Experience Requirement

Minimum 15+ years of experience in plotted development, township infrastructure, or large land development projects.

Prior experience handling roads and drainage infrastructure for projects of 1530 acres or more preferred.
