Job Description:

Python, Scala/Java, Spark, SQL, Snowflake, BDD, Databricks, AWS

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement scalable data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and distributing large volumes of data.
• Apply advanced data modelling techniques to optimise data structures for operational and analytical use cases.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise data infrastructure for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and security through best practices and process implementation.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning.
• Stay current with emerging trends in big data, cloud platforms, and data engineering tools.
• Maintain documentation related to data architecture, processes, and solutions.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a data engineering role.
• Proficiency in Python, Spark, Kafka, CI/CD, Git, and DevOps practices.
• Experience with dimensional data modelling and streaming pipelines.
• Certified Databricks Data Engineer.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks and security protocols.
• Exposure to enterprise-scale data environments and agile delivery models.
