Role Description

This is a remote contract role for a Senior Data Engineer. The role involves designing and implementing data engineering solutions, building and maintaining ETL pipelines, managing data warehouses, and creating efficient data models. The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for enabling data analytics capabilities to support business decision-making by ensuring high-quality, reliable data infrastructure and processes.

Qualifications

• Data Engineer with 3-7 years of experience in data analytics, advanced data engineering, and cloud-native big data solutions.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing scalable, automated data platforms that drive data-informed decisions in retail, finance, and enterprise sectors.
• Skilled in SQL Server, advanced SQL, Python, and MySQL.
• Specialized knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Databricks, and big data technologies including Hadoop and Spark.
• Excelled in ETL pipeline creation, workflow orchestration, data modeling, and seamless integration of hybrid on-premises and cloud environments.
• Strong focus on data quality, governance, and security.
