Senior Data Architect (Climate Reporting Data Structures) Remote

Were looking for a Senior Data Architect to support a climate reporting transformation project. The work focuses on understanding current reporting structures , documenting how data is organised today, and designing a future-ready conceptual data model that will support a new reporting solution built on Microsoft Power Platform .

What youll do

Youll work across a multi-entity reporting environment where data structures vary significantly. Your responsibilities will include:

• Analyse and document current-state data structures used for climate/emissions reporting
• Interpret variable site hierarchies and inconsistent configuration patterns
• Produce schema maps , data dictionaries , and clear documentation
• Identify anomalies, risks, and complexity drivers that may impact migration
• Build a summary dashboard using Microsoft Power Platform to visualise patterns and key stats
• Recommend conceptual data models for the replacement reporting platform
• Create plain-language summaries and visuals for leadership-level decision making

• Experience working with complex or highly variable data structures
• Microsoft Power Platform dashboard experience (Power BI / Dataverse preferred)

Delivery approach (fixed scope, milestone-based)

This engagement is structured across three delivery stages:

Stage 1: Current configuration profiling

• Document site structures and hierarchy patterns
• Catalogue reporting categories/sources and where they sit in the hierarchy
• Map user access types and usage patterns
• Capture anomalies and underused data structures

Stage 2: Analysis & synthesis

• Build a dashboard with one view per entity + summary view
• Identify patterns and group typical configuration types
• Create 35 visual examples of common structures

Stage 3: Findings & recommended future model

• Provide clear visuals + plain-language interpretations
• Recommend one or more conceptual data models
• Summarise risks and migration considerations

Working style

• 100% remote
• You should be available for meetings/collaboration between 9AM and 5PM PST
• Delivery completion target: late March 2026
