Senior Cognos Developer (Reports, Models, and Dashboards)

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Cognos Developer to join our team and play a key role in designing and developing complex reports, models, and dashboards using IBM Cognos Analytics.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a proven ability to work with large datasets, and experience in creating impactful, user-friendly reports and visualizations.

Familiarity with the Pharmacovigilance (PV) domain is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop complex reports, dashboards, and data models in IBM Cognos Analytics .
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Optimize existing reports and dashboards for performance and usability.
• Maintain and enhance Framework Manager models and other Cognos components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to report development, data accuracy, and performance.
• Ensure adherence to best practices and data governance policies.
• Provide technical support and training to end users on Cognos tools and solutions.

Required Skills:

• 6 to 10 years of hands-on experience with IBM Cognos Analytics , including Report Studio , Query Studio , and Framework Manager .
• Strong expertise in designing and optimizing dashboards and visualizations .
• Experience in creating and managing data models for reporting.
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases.
• Exposure to Pharmacovigilance (PV) processes and terminology (preferred).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in other business intelligence tools .
• Knowledge of Pharma or Healthcare domains .
• Familiarity with integrating Cognos reports into other applications
